The young Dilophosaurus eyes opened. A slit pupil scanned the immediate view around it before moving. The juvenile raised its head, blinking in the late afternoon sunlight as it yawned, flashing sharp teeth. Dragonflies stirred at the movement into the air and hummed above her briefly before darting off. The Dilophosaurus was a juvenile female and she was alone. The black markings down her yellow body broke up her silhouette in the shade of the trees and bushes rustled as she got to her feet. She took a brief step forward and listened. Bird calls, the rustle of leaves and the general hum of life around her reassured her and the young Dilo
